Support for Air Quality Permit

Why EcoLogix Group was engaged:

A private marine terminal operator assumed the operations of a former tenant of an industrial waterfront property. The new operator required assistance in both understanding the regulatory requirements for zinc calcine crushing operations proximate to residential communities and in obtaining the necessary permits to continue operations. A complicating factor was a hostile relationship between the parties involved in the transition, coupled with existing customer commitments influenced by favorable commodity pricing.

How EcoLogix Group responded:

EcoLogix Group supported the technical team writing the permit application by interfacing with the regulatory agency and assisting the application and approval process by assuring all parties had a full awareness of expectations, business commitments, and regulatory requirements. Key to the effort’s success was frequent communication and coordination among all parties.

Outcome:

The client obtained temporary permits and was able to keep its customer, and identified a path to obtain permanent permits for ongoing operations.
